Every Fall I go to Richmond PEI to tune pianos. In 2008 we bought a wonderful farm house there so that I would have a place to stay. We do not plan to stay there during the summer months so we have decided to rent it out.

This 100+ year old home was lived in for most of its life by the Condon family, some which still live in nearby Richmond. It has undergone considerable improvements and is now very comfortable to live in, while still maintaining its heritage appeal. New bathtub and enclosure, new washer/dryer/fridge/stove are very convenient. Quaint large front porch facing morning sun. Large backyard porch with BBQ, facing spectacular PEI sunsets. The property is situated at the top of the hill in Richmond and looks out on all sides as far as the eye can see, with no neighbours nearby. Wild flowers and a large one acre yard give it a relaxing atmosphere with plenty of room for kids to play. There is also a baseball diamond and small kid's park next door. Across the road is the MacKinnon family homestead, which offers live authentic island music during the week. The Richmond dairy bar just down the road is a popular destination for locals. Down the hill the other way is an easy entrance to Ellis River and kayaking, canoeing, etc. Kayaks provided. The farm house is located on Sugar Camp road, the only property on a long winding dirt road through fields and small forests, a wonderfully relaxing walk. It is also about 500m from the Confederation trail, the only converted railway line cross-island that is perfect for biking and hiking. There are five children's bikes, three adult bikes, two with child seats, and two kayaks available.
